VCW Cocktail Seminar : History of the Martini
Alcohol is fun until it isn’t, and that’s usually the morning after. Join us at Copperpenny Distilling in North Vancouver to learn how alcohol affects your body, how to guard yourself against its interesting side-effects, and how to revive yourself if you happen to over-indulge. Many anecdotes and antidotes abound! Three cocktails, a glass of water and a Tylenol will be included with the seminar.
Our second of two Cocktail Series Seminars for Vancouver Cocktail Week 2025, Copperpenny is presenting the ‘The History of the Hangover’. Join us in our own one-of-a-kind North Shore speakeasy cellar for a memorable event headed by our incredibly talented cocktail director, Tarquin Melnyk, and one of our talented distillers to educate you on how quality (and bad) spirits are made, and what to look out for! You’ll leave with a bunch of insight into the storied history of spirit distillation, from bad to good!
The session will be from 4-5:30pm, with a 30-minute cocktail meet and greet starting at 4:00PM, where guests will receive a big glass of our 20-year Hangover Cure Caesar – a secret recipe known only to its inventor and our distiller, Jan! Throughout the seminar, you’ll receive an experiential tasting tutorial and just the right amount of “medicine” to help you recover from your Saturday escapades. Make sure to check out the VCW Black & White Gala – this seminar will definitely be the cure to the things that will happen there!
