THIS IS OUR LAST SUMMER FANNY BAY OYSTER POP UP OF THE SEASON! Nothing goes better together than an amazing gin cocktail and BC oysters. Well nothing, that is, except for when its ultra-local Vancouver Island Fanny Bay Oysters and made-on-the-shore Copperpenny Gin.
Our fifth summer Fanny Bay Oyster Company x Copperpenny Distilling Co. pop-up lands Sunday September 17th 2023 – put it in your calendars! This is a don’t miss moment. Not only will Calvin and team from Fanny Bay be shucking three delicious select varieties of oysters fresh in-house, Copperpenny will be showcasing our BC-inspired gin made with the freshly shucked shells from Fanny Bay – our Copperpenny No. 006 Oyster Shell Gin. This is a rare gin expression that uses BC ocean elements during distillation to create a wonderfully savoury gin with bright citrus notes, ideal for martinis and pairing with seafood. It will challenge your perception of what a contemporary gin can taste like.
Reservations are not required, but recommended as we do get quite popular for these pop-ups – and we do usually run out of oysters by evening so make sure to get here in time to get your dozen (or 4, if you’re anything like us). Email us to make a reservation.
